“The Philadelphia Eagles Wiiiinnnnnn“!
DALLAS SUCKS
For the third consecutive week, the Eagles are able to knock off a hated division foe. This one was the most satisfying against our arch rival Dallas Cowboys.
The win over Dallas propels Philly into 1st place in the NFC East, as they control their own destiny heading into the last week of NFL action.
For the first time this season the birds are officially in the NFC playoff picture as the No. 4 seed.
Eagles fans were fired up as many described this as the loudest home game of the 2019 season. “Dallas Sucks” chants continued through out the entire contest. Photo By: Michael Perez/AP Photo
This victory was won in large part to the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field. ESPN and NFL Network held live broadcasts of their coverage from the actual scene in Philly, causing fans to fully participate in all the pre-game festivities (tailgate *cough *cough).
Dallas week always gets the fans and media hyped! The environment elevated the overall play of the Eagles defense.
$90 million man Ezekiel Elliot was held under 50 yards rushing on only 13 total carries. In the previous matchup, Elliot gashed the Eagles D for over 100 yards. Containing Elliot was key in this win.

Philadelphia forced an “injured” Dak Prescott to throw the football against them after they could not find success in the running game.
This resulted in Prescott going 25/40 with 0 TD’s. 6 drops between Amari Cooper, Jason Witten, and Michael Gallop also added to Dallas’s debacle.
A last minute heave to Michael Gallop on 4th & 8 was broken up by Sidney Jones in the end zone, which virtually ended the game! The entire Dallas Cowboys offense could not come up with a TD against this banged up Eagles defensive unit.

Offensively…the Eagles could have put up more points.
Overall Carson Wentz got the job done with a very limited supporting cast, like he has all season.
Dallas (aka “Philly”) Goedert lead all pass catchers with 9 receptions for 91 yards! Ironically enough, Goedert was born and raised a Cowboys fan, hence the first name Dallas. His heroics helped the Eagles attack the middle of Dallas’s D.
Dallas on Dallas crime.

With just one more win, the Philadelphia Eagles will clinch with NFC East with a 9-7 record.
Philly still has to care of business next week @ New York if they hope to lock up their playoff spot.
This team deserves a ton of credit for the way they have played the past few weeks. The birds were dead in the water after losing to Miami, but have since rallied to win 3 in in a row with an extremely depleted and injured roster…
Just one more game…
DAL (7-8) PHI (8-7)
